PLEASE NOTE - this group's meeting schedule is changing. Meetings will be held twice a month - on the first Tuesday via Zoom and on the third Tuesday the group will meet in person in Wetherspoons on Union Street.
The aim of the group is to debate three or four issues in some depth but also to look at current affairs in a wider context. Each month we select items of interest for the following meeting but retaining some degree of flexibility in case something of import arises that we wish to debate. Members will be expected to have given the issues some thought before each meeting.
The group currently has 9 members. The leadership of the group is rotated between two leaders and on every third meeting the group is asked to provide an agenda. In addition, there is informal contact outwith the two formal u3a meetings. New members are very welcome to join us both on Zoom and at wetherspoons.
