We do not hold monthly meetings in July and August and most groups also take a break during these months.

The group forms for February to June 2026 are now available for download.

Our membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August and the annual fee for 2025-26 is £12 (or £5 if you join from April 2026 onwards). Individuals who are already full members of another u3a may, on proof of membership, become associate members of Aberdeen u3a at an annual cost of £4. Renewal forms are sent to members each August.

We hold monthly speaker meetings, and prospective members are welcome to attend one meeting in order to learn a bit more about us before committing to membership. Each monthly meetings costs £3, with a further £3 payable by those who wish to have refreshments after the talks.

We also offer a wide range of special interest groups, full details of which will be found on our Groups page. Additional charges may be applicable to join some interest groups, depending on venue and frequency of meetings.

Aberdeen u3a’s main newsletter comes out each August, and further updates are sent to members during the year. Members can also receive Third Age Matters, a national u3a magazine, five times a year. In order to receive the magazine by post, you must tick the box on your membership form, agreeing to let us pass your name and postal address to the distribution company.

All members are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct.
