- Annual accounts - the current examiner of our annual accounts is stepping down so a new examiner will be need to be found by Spring 2027.
- Groups - the 2026-7 group forms will be revised to provide membership of non fee-paying groups for the half year, thus aligning it with the system for fee-paying groups and potentially addressing the issue of non-attendance of members.
- Newsletter - some group reports are still to be submitted for the 2026 newsletter. The information pages will be revamped to highlight the key points that new and existing members need to know It was suggested that more details on online u3a activities could be included as well as links to the other u3as in this area.
- AGM and anniversary lunch – the arrangements for these events were discussed and finalised. The AGM will start at 12 noon. Lunch will follow at 1.30, after the serving of a complimentary drink from 1pm. 52 member have registered for the lunch.
- New committee – the first meeting of the new committee will be held in the Mercure on 22 June at 11.00am.

- Reserves policy – the draft policy of maintaining a reserve of £7,000 was agreed and the policy will now be added to the documents page of the website.
- Examiner – it was noted that the present examiner now wishes to step down. Potential replacements will be contacted.
- Groups - group meeting and contact details should be confirmed to the groups co-ordinator by 15 May. A new webpage showing the vacancies or the number on the waiting list for each group will be added to the website. Several new groups have been suggested and these will be followed up in the usual way.
- Newsletter – all articles and the list of speakers for 2026-7 should be submitted to the editor by 12 June.
- 25th anniversary lunch – all menu choices are to be finalised by 15 May. The hotel will be asked to provide table service rather than its usual buffet style for large groups. A long-term or founding member who is attending the lunch will be invited to cut the anniversary cake. Photographs will be taken and sent with a press release to local media outlets as well as the u3a magazine.
- AGM – nomination forms must be completed by 14 May. The AGM notice and agenda will be emailed to members and all AGM papers will be uploaded to the website.
