Monthly Meeting Announcements

The announcements posted on this page are for the benefit of those members who were unable to attend the meetings. Announcements for the past two months only will be shown.

May 2026 meeting

  • Walk in the Park - the May walk will be on Tuesday, 19 May. Members should meet at 10.30am at the Seaton Park car park next to the children's play area. There is a sign up sheet.
  • International Lunch - the next lunch is at Muzo, Beach Boulevard, on Thursday, 25 June 2026.  The restaurant is booked for our usual time of 12.15 for 12.30. Group members can sign up by using the group contact link on the group's webpage or by putting their names down on the sign-up sheet at the monthly talks in the Mercure. 
  • AGM - the 2026 AGM will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, 4 June at the Park Inn by Radisson, 1 Justice Mill Lane. The meeting papers will be sent out in mid-May and also uploaded to the website. PLEASE NOTE both the earlier start time and the change of venue.
  • 25th anniversary lunch - this celebratory lunch will be held in the Park Inn by Radisson, 1 Justice Mill Lane, at 12.45 for 1.00pm. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Details were sent to all members and bookings, payments and menu choices should have been submitted by 1 May.
  • u3a recollections - at the anniversary lunch we would like to share some recollections from our members, telling us about your experiences over the years. Please think about sending us your thoughts and memories, big or small, for us to collate and share on the day. Send your contributions to John Brown, our Newsletter Editor by 29 May.
  • 2026 Newsletter - Do you have a picture or story to share? Do you have pictures telling a story or a story that paints a picture related to your u3a activity groups or the monthly meetings you have attended this year that you would like to share in the next issue of our news? The deadline is 20 June and will be published in August. Up to one thousand words in Word, Pages or as a pdf document and jpeg images are acceptable file formats. The Editor reserves the right to edit text or crop images as necessary.

April 2026 meeting

  • Walk in the Park - the April walk will be on Tuesday, 21 April. Members should meet at 10.30am at the car park at Persley Walled Garden, Mugiemoss Road. There is a sign up sheet.
  • Discussion Lunch -this will take place at the Brig O' Don, 739 King Street, on Wednesday, 15 April. Members should meet at 10.45 for 11.00am. There is a sign up sheet.
  • International Lunch - the next lunch is at Al Fresco, 15 Bon-Accord Street, Aberdeen AB11 6EA on Thursday, 30 April 2026.  The restaurant is booked for our usual time of 12.15 for 12.30. The cost is £19 for a two-course lunch including tip. There is a sign-up sheet.
