Intermediate French is one of two French groups offered within Aberdeen u3a. It is aimed at those with a basic knowledge of French who would like to improve their vocabulary, understanding and conversation skills (level B1 intermediate).

The intermediate class meets for one hour from 13.00, with access to the building from 12.50pm. The class does not have a tutor, being student-led. Volunteers chair each class and David Craig coordinates the Intermediate and Advanced classes. The atmosphere is relaxed, supportive and friendly with a good mix of members, and we currently work from a Façon de Parler Intermediate French book. Any last minute changes will be advised via the WhatsApp French class group.

PROSPECTIVE CLASS MEMBERS - there is a class size maximum and both classes fill up fast! Feel free to flag your interest via the group contact link on this page and you will be waitlisted until a vacancy occurs. A once-off free class trial will be offered before making a firm financial commitment.

PLEASE NOTE – attendance at group activities is restricted to Aberdeen u3a members. For joining details, please see our membership page.

GENERAL - please use the group contact link to advise if you will be absent from a class.

COSTS - in addition to the group fee, a £2 per term contribution towards handouts and sundry costs is payable direct to the class leader at the start of each term (September and February).
