Our reading group meets monthly on the mezzanine floor of the Aberdeen Central Library in a comfortable, welcoming space. Members typically select titles from the extensive list provided free of charge by the Aberdeen City Library Service, ensuring everyone gets a copy. However, we occasionally branch out to read a couple of books outside the library’s collection each year.

At the beginning of each year, members choose a title they would like to lead on, allowing us to plan and reserve our reading list in advance. Our selections cover a rich variety of genres—including fiction, non-fiction, contemporary, and classics, both long and short. Discussions are always lively and informative, led by the member who selected that month’s book. Beyond our regular meetings, we also enjoy occasional author visits and local literary events across Aberdeen.

PLEASE NOTE – attendance at group activities is restricted to Aberdeen u3a members. For joining details, please see our membership page.
