The Travel Group plan a number of day trips, mostly utilising the free over 60’s NEC bus pass, and some trips further afield, that incorporate overnight stays, are also planned. The members suggest places they may wish to visit and a programme of outings is put together.
Planned outings
Friday, 31 st July 2026- this outing will be to the Stonehaven area, and full details will be added in due course.
Thursday, 20th August 2026 (Note the change of day and date) will be the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A day out to take in the unique atmosphere of the Fringe, along with the opportunity to watch artists performing live at open air venues located around the Royal Mile. Planning to spend around five hours in Edinburgh so a slightly earlier start may be required or later return.
September 13th - 16th/17th 2026 - a trip to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Bookings for this are now CLOSED. Full details of the travel arrangements will be sent to those who have already registered their interest.
